In my former role of Press Secretary for Rapid Response at the Human Rights Campaign, I was responsible for real-time monitoring and messaging guidance. I oversaw and executed rapid-response communication functions, especially related to breaking political news. My day-to-day responsibilities included supervising other rapid response team members and monitoring, researching and responding to news on LGBTQ-related policy matters. In this session we can talk about how to engage with the media if you are building a campaign, communications planning etc.
